Game color is a special selection of fine waterbased acrylic colors manufactured with a special resin and permanent pigments for miniatures figures in fantasy and war games.
This compact range has been especially developed to contain all the frequently used colors in fantasy figures, in a formula particularly designed for adherence on plastics and metals, using a new resin of unequalled durability and resistance to scrapes and abrasion. Colors brush on easily and smoothly, and dry to an opaque, matte finish. Their finely ground texture makes them perfect for fine details in miniatures as well as for large surfaces. They are highly pigmented, light fast, and waterproof once dry. Errors can be corrected immediately with water or a small amount of alcohol.
Using new resins, the strength, resistance and covering power of Game Air is superior to any acrylic airbrush color currently available and also allows for application by brush to highlight the smallest details of the miniature.
The colors in the range have been selected in collaboration with modelers specialized in fantasy figures and dioramas, and the existing colors in the Game Color range have been taken into particular consideration. The names and shades of the most popular colors of Game Color have been maintained in Game Air, using the formulation and resins employed for Model Air (see Equivalency Table). In the color chart we include a diagram of the most frequent color combinations: base color, light and shadow.
A range of 218 acrylic colours, very highly pigmented, formulated for models and miniatures. Model Color is indicated for all surfaces, and especially formulated to adhere to plastics and polyesters.
Using new resins, the strength, resistance and covering power of Model Air is superior to any acrylic airbrush color currently available and also allows for application with a brush for the smallest details of the model, for washes and transparencies and layered application of diluted glazes.
Colors can be mixed with one another, diluted with water, Model Air Thinner or Varnish, according to the desired effect, though best results are achived with the use of Model Air Thinner since this product conserves the properties of the colors. Model Air adheres exceptionally well to all surfaces. The adhesion of Model Air to resin models, plastics, steel and white metal is extraordinary. Once protected with varnish, (Gloss, Matte or Satin) Model Air can be overpainted with solvent based enamels or oilcolours: they withstand cleaning with turpentine and even a light wash with alcohol. The resistance to abrasion of the colors, once varnished, is superior to any other waterbased acrylic.
A color system designed in collaboration with Panzer Aces Magazine for reproducing the colors of the uniforms of tank crews and general armed forces in WWII.
Metal Color is a new range of water-based metallic colors, especially designed for airbrushing. Metal Colors are manufactured using the latest generation of aluminum pigments in a specially designed formula which results in a series of colors of exceptional resistance and adherence to plastics and metal. Metal Color can be applied directly on models without the need for the use of a primer, although in the case of fuselages and components for airplane models it is recommended to first apply a glossy Black Primer to bring forth the unique and special quality of the aluminum finish.
Pigments are used for weathering and ageing the finish of vehicles, armour, fortifications and structures; they are ideal for creating the effects of accumulated dust, mud, dirt and smoke produced by time and natural erosion.
