Buildings designed for use with The Chicago way 28mm skirmish game that takes place during the Prohibition era of the United States. With an accompanying range of miniatures, vehicles and other scenery, players can gun down the opposition as they vie for control of the city.
Bud Davis was born and bred in Chicago Illinois, his father ‘Stan’ came to ‘The Windy City’ all the way from Birmingham, England. As a trained jeweler from the ‘Gold Quarter’ of Birmingham, Bud’s old man found himself earning a good living engraving bespoke work onto beautiful firearms for many years.
His mother, Elli was originally from a little place called Smallbrook, Illinois, but times have changed and Smallbrook, being one of the last stops on ‘The Chicago Way’ has become a growing suburban town. It was for this reason that Bud’s father chose to move the family to set up business as the owner of a jewelry store and repair service, though he most enjoyed maintaining time pieces and performing watch repairs. Bud learned his trade from his father and as time past and his father retired Bud took over the business.
When Bud left for the war in Europe, Stan came out of retirement to take care of things until his son returned, and now Bud is back he can take it easy again. The thing is though, Bud’s a changed man, war does that to you, and what’s more you make friends with types of men you otherwise would have crossed the street to avoid before the war. Stan knows sometimes Bud even lends his hand to stripping guns of their identification markings, with of course ‘no questions asked’ of customers who provided the guns requiring this service. Stan has tried to talk some sense into Bud but he just acts deaf’n’dum or gets all ansty.
